It is reported that electronic seals have started to be used by the People’s Court in Haidian District (Beijing) and various courts in Jiangsu, Hunan, and Jiangxi provinces. With the help of such electronic blockchain-based seals, the courts will be able to carry out real-time video surveillance of real estate. If the property is damaged, the system will automatically connect the video surveillance material and notify the plaintiffs and law enforcement agencies.
If a criminal is detected, the system will automatically take a picture of him and send the image to the appropriate platform. An automatic voice warning about the legal consequences of breaking into the sealed property is also built into the electronic printing system.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that China’s judicial system has turned to a blockchain. At the end of last year, it was reported about the use of distributed ledger technology and artificial intelligence to settle millions of lawsuits.
