The Orbit Showtime Network has announced the launch of Walt Disney Co’s (DIS.N) Disney+ in the Middle East and North Africa. It will be accessible on pay television and streaming service provider starting on Thursday.
OSN has revamped its range of services and now has shows like Disney’s recent hit “The Mandalorian.” Disney+ is available on 17 regional markets, including Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The payment for the online streaming service costs $9.50 every month.
It is the first time that Disney+, Walt Disney’s streaming service, has been released through a third party provider.
“We currently do not plan to launch Disney+ as a standalone service in the region in the near future,” Walt Disney Regional Lead Amit Malhotra said in a statement.
